The Circle

A beautiful shot of the Yorkshire Dales in their glorious greens.

Walking with a Smacked Pentax

This is Yockenthwaite stone circle taken at Dawn. Not exactly a ‘stone circle’ per se – probably the foundation for a hut circle or maybe a cairn circle, but still very beautiful nonetheless. And possibly 5000 years old.

It is situated at the side of the infant river Wharfe and it is just an amazing place – very mystical and magical.  And the perfect time to visit it is at Dawn.
