The Blissed Hand

Like a flower the truth is swiftly hurt

Perfection is the gentlest thing

Touched only by inside seeing

Fingers’ secret is caress

Engaging deeper self

A sacrifice to one alone

Blissed hand holds essence of rose

Its fading leaving room for another

Its silence an invitation to a third

      1. That is a wonderful way to remember someone in your family that you loved, and sometimes it is magical what happens. Years ago a little rescue dog I had for years died, and I likewise put her ashes beneath one of those rose bushes I had gotten from the 99 cent store (yes, for 99 cents and truly “BARE” root. Anyway, it was growing, but after the ashes, one day it put out the most incredible rose I have ever seen. It absolutely glowed literally and it was huge and lasted for more than a week. I knew then that my dog was saying thank you for having been rescued and having a good life and knowing she was so loved. Anne
